Miniature Silverware
All my miniature silverware is hand crafted and made to exactly 1/12th of the scale of the original. My silverware will also work much as the original; lids are hinged or lift off, handles are carved out of ebony wood or bone, jugs and vessels are hollow. Browse the galleries to view the miniature silver doll house items available to order.

Tea Service Silverware

Oval Georgian Teapot, c. 1745
The heat meant an insulated handle was needed, here made of ebony, and a wood lined stand to prevent damage to polished surfaces. The lid lifts off and the open spout has a fret of holes at the base to strain the tea leaves. A small person could make and pour a cup of tea without burning their fingers.
Size: 14mm high

Queen Anne Tea and Coffee Set, c.1720
When the kitchen can be a long, cold walk away, a kettle and spirit lamp that are suitably refined for the sitting room giving a handy supply of hot water for the teapot would be very welcome for afternoons “at home”. The ebony handle swings clear of the lid for filling, the kettle lifts off the lamp stand giving access to the lamp which itself lifts out, the lid coming off for filling with spirit which is drawn up the wick and lit to provide the heat. The butler can carry the whole using the two jointed handles, the table surface protected by ebony feet beneath the scrolled legs.
Price: £840
The Tripod floor stand is extravagance, removing even the need for a suitable flat surface at hand height.

Ebony handle, open spout. Chocolate pots can be interchangeable with coffee pots, but are distinguished by having a small opening in the top of the lid for a swizzle stick which sits in the pot and can stir up the chocolate sediment without losing heat. The handle was often on the side, at a right angle to the spout.
Price: £330

Queen Anne Tea and Coffee Set, c.1720
Sugar Bowl (left): The lid on the sugar bowl can be upturned for use as a teaspoon tray, as cups did not have saucers.
